JIM SANDELL

Guitarist / vocalist Jim Sandell began his music career while attending Temple University in Philadelphia in the late 1980’s, forming the classic rock bar band “The Radials” In the mid-90’s, The Radials evolved into an original band, “The Maybes,” and played venues from Philadelphia to New Brunswick, NJ to the Jersey Shore. The Maybes wrote and recorded original rock and roll music extensively under the tutelage of The Hooter’s bassist Fran Smith, Jr before disbanding in the late 90’s.

In 2002, after a brief hiatus, Jim joined the newly-forming Bruce Springsteen tribute / classic rock band “Asbury Fever.’” With Asbury Fever, he has played venues throughout the Northeast United States, from Pittsburgh, PA to Hartford, CT., and has been honored to share the stage with many amazing musicians who have performed with the E-Street Band, Tony Bennett, Bon Jovi, Wilson Pickett, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, John Denver, and many others. (See www.asburyfever.com for more).

In 2010 Jim partnered up with singer Fran Webster to form the duo “Fran and Jim Acoustic,” performing a wide variety of acoustic classic rock, pop, country, and even disco. In 2019, they added percussionist extraordinaire Jim White to become a trio, while still keeping the laid-back acoustic vibe for which they’re known. To date, Fran and Jim have played over 300 shows together. See www.franandjimacoustic.com for more.

Jim has also played in a Blues Brothers Revue, and frequently subs on lead guitar and vocals with long-time South Jersey blues and soul group “The Mark Stinger Band.”
